Assembly Elections: Nodal Officers Meeting
District Collector Nitesh Patil instructed adequate preparation
Belgaum, 10th April (Karnataka News): To facilitate the smooth conduct of the Vidhana Sabha election process, M.C.C. District Returning Officer and District Collector Nitesh Patil gave strict instructions to the various nodal officers who have been appointed including that they should adequately perform the work entrusted to them.
He spoke while presiding over a meeting of nodal officials held at the Collectorate’s office hall on Monday 10th April.
Model code of conduct, training, transport management, computerization, cyber security, sweep, EVM management, grievance redressal etc. will be assigned to various nodal officers for election work and necessary training and equipment will also be provided.
Apart from this, necessary officers and staff have been assigned to each team and every work should be done neatly as per the guidelines of the Election Commission by using this team properly.
As polling day approaches, everyone’s work pressure increases. Therefore, every matter should be carefully checked and necessary precautionary measures should be taken, he said.
He directed that preparations should be made keeping in mind every problem so that there is no possibility of any kind of confusion on the days of mustering, de mustering and polling.
Articles and printing materials needed for the respective occasion should be stocked. He said that transportation and food should be arranged.
Additional District Collector KT Shantala, Parashuram Dudgunti, Lakshmana Babali, Nisar Ahmed, Rajshree Jainapur, Srishail Kankanwadi, Pritam Nasalapure, Ravi Bangareppanavara, Gurnath Kadabur and other nodal officers of various committees were present in the meeting.
The nodal officials explained the preparations regarding the election in the meeting.
