“The vaccine for Covid-19 will be ready in a few weeks,” said prime minister Narendra Modi. Yesterday i.e. 4th December 2020, there was an all party meeting conducted by PMO to discuss the current situation of Covid. Prime minister said that he has met all the vaccine developers personally and has discussed the scenario of the vaccine in India.
The meeting was organised online, and it is estimated that 12 parties seniors attended and discussed this issue. Narendra Modi said that as soon as the government gets a green signal from the scientists and researchers, the government will approve. He also added that the vaccination will be done in levels. “The vaccine will be first made available to 1 crore frontline Covid-19 warriors, and then to the senior citizens who are facing serious health issues, and so on” he elaborated.
There are a total of 8 vaccines in the testing stage in India. Out of which 3 vaccines are developed and made in India. PM added that the government will create a team of specialists who will look after vaccinating the country in different levels.
He also said that the central government will discuss with state governments and finalize the price of vaccines for public usage. “The price will be decided keeping public health into consideration” he added.
