According to official sources, the planned operation will target unauthorised mining activities reported on a 14-acre government land parcel. The move follows a complaint alleging that illegal extraction of high-grade laterite has been ongoing at the site for nearly two years without proper permission.

Authorities are expected to initiate legal proceedings as per due process after the raid. Sources also indicate that several officials may face questioning over their alleged inaction despite being aware of the activities.

The incident has raised serious concerns over monitoring mechanisms and the protection of government land and natural resources in the district.
