According to reports, Aditya was swept away after entering the water and failed to return to safety. His friends attempted to rescue him but were unsuccessful. The incident was immediately reported to the local authorities.
Police, fire and emergency services, along with forest officials, launched a search operation at the site. However, continuous heavy rainfall and rising water levels hampered rescue efforts, forcing the operation to be suspended on Sunday evening. The search resumed on Monday morning.

The tragedy comes amid repeated warnings from authorities against visiting waterfalls and restricted areas in the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary during the monsoon. Officials have cautioned tourists to avoid venturing into dangerous locations, as swollen streams and strong currents pose a serious risk.
