“The Journey is more beautiful than the destination” a very famous quote. But sometimes the journey and the destination are both equally beautiful and this statement is true in case of Ningangouda. K. G.
Ningangouda. K. G is son of a well-known advocate of Belagavi, Shri K. B. Gadigennavar. A resident of Rukmini Nagar Belagavi, and a dreamer and enthusiast by heart. While ordinary never managed to allure him, he decided to follow where his heart lead him. He left for his adventure to Chopta Tungnath which is world’s highest Shiva Temple at the height of 13000 feet above sea level. He travelled around 2950 Kms from Bengaluru to Chopta village in Uttarakhand. He covered this journey in 2 days 8 hours in his car. According to Ningangouda, this journey from Bengaluru to Base Camp in Chopta was Marvelous. Due to the good work by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), he was able to cover this journey within the expected time. And the experience was so smooth that he just couldn’t get over it.
Before his final destination to the Base Camp, he stopped in Haridwar to witness the world famous Ganga Aarati. He took a dip in Ganga River at morning 5 AM, and witnessing the Ganga Arati which was a very spiritual experience for him. Then he continued his journey to Chopta by crossing the wonderful snowy mountains. Cherry on the cake was the rainfall, yes rainfall in Snowy Mountain ranges. Initially it was difficult to drive in those ranges, but he maintained his calmness and drove slowly. Finally, he reached the Base Camp, the view was mesmerizing in the middle of Chopta village and mountains. Then he and some other groups started trekking to the Tungnath Shiva Temple. It was around 13000 feet tall, so it was obvious that the oxygen level went on decreasing as he moved upwards. It took him around 2 hours to reach temple and the journey and destination was worth each and every second of his time and the penny spent.
This inspiring story convey’s the very fact that, there are a lot of obstacles that come around our life when we decide a destination. But what we shouldn’t ever question our inner calling and never give any excuses or reasons, just go for it. Just like how Ningangouda had to finish another task in Haridwar before reaching to his final destination i.e. Chopta village, similarly consider every obstacle that you come across in your life as a pre destination project before the final one arrives. If you do that so, then life is just an element to cherish. Congratulations to Ningangouda. K. G for achieving it, and helping us all dream and hope! Hope is after all the most beautiful thing life has got to offer!!!
