Belagavi: Udyambagh police arrested a 39-year-old man for allegedly selling chocolate packets containing marijuana near KLE Engineering College on August 7.

The accused, identified as Bholu Jital Prajapati, a resident of Hanuman Nagar, Belagavi, was allegedly selling the packets along a public road near the college when police raided the spot.
Police seized 27 packets weighing 6.858 kg, besides a mobile phone, Rs 600 cash and a scooter. The total value of the seized items was estimated at Rs 94,600.
A case has been registered under Section 20(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act, 1985, and further investigation is underway.
