Rani Channamma University is a Belgaum public university founded by the Karnataka government in 2010 It was built by developing the Kittur Rani Channamma Post Graduate in Belgaum founded by Karnatak University. University buildings are built on a small hillock, thus it meets naturally with the landscape. The campus jumps over an area of 178.14 acres.
The entire campus area is free of pollution including noise pollution. There is no the exaggeration that an uninterrupted and happy atmosphere on campus makes it ideal for pursuing higher education.The Colleges under RCU are, gogte college, jain college, people tree college, samiti college, kle lingraj college, kle cbalc, shaikh college, maratha mandal,Annapoorna Institute of Management Research Belgaum, Anjuman Arts Science and Commerce College Bijapur, Shree Sangameshwar Arts and Commerce College Bijapur.
The main purpose of the university is to provide higher education opportunities for students from Northern Karnataka. Deprived of good learning environments.
